Home

The Home page serves as the landing view when opening the File tab backstage. It provides quick access to recent work, learning materials, and product updates—designed to help you resume projects or discover new capabilities efficiently.

Page Layout​

The Home page is divided into two sections:

  • Left Section: Recent Projects, Recent Folders, and Learning Center
  • Right Section: News and Resources

Recent Projects​

The Recent Projects section displays a grid of recently opened Volvicon project files. Each project card shows the project name and provides single-click access to reload the project.

Using Recent Projects​

  1. Open File → Home
  2. Locate the project in the Recent Projects grid
  3. Click the project card to open it
tip

Project cards appear in order of most recent access. Frequently used projects remain easily accessible at the start of the list.

If the recent projects list appears empty, this may indicate that no projects have been opened previously, or that system privacy tools have cleared the recent file history.

Recent Folders​

The Recent Folders section provides shortcuts to directories you have recently accessed when opening or saving projects. This eliminates navigation through folder hierarchies when working with projects stored in consistent locations.

Using Recent Folders​

  1. Open File → Home
  2. Click a folder in the Recent Folders list
  3. The folder opens in the file browser for project selection

Learning Center​

The Learning Center displays curated tutorials and getting-started content to help you explore Volvicon's capabilities. Content is periodically updated to reflect new features and workflows.

  • Feature Tutorials: Focused guides on specific tools and capabilities
  • Best Practices: Recommendations for common use cases

Review the Learning Center when beginning work with unfamiliar tools or after software updates to discover new functionality.

News​

The News section displays product announcements, release notes, and other updates from the Volvicon team. This content is fetched from the Volvicon website and updates automatically when connected to the internet.

The Resources section provides quick access to external links:

Workflow: Resuming a Recent Project​

  1. Launch Volvicon or click File to open the backstage
  2. The Home page displays automatically
  3. Locate your project in the Recent Projects grid
  4. Click the project card to load it
  5. Continue your work from where you left off

Workflow: Exploring New Features​

  1. Open File → Home
  2. Check the News section for recent announcements
  3. Browse the Learning Center for tutorials on new capabilities
  4. Click tutorial cards to access detailed guides
